Customer ‘F’ and Uniserve – Working in partnership:
In a market where trading conditions were becoming increasingly competitive, customer ‘F’ was beginning to lose market share. Undertaking a complete review of their Supply Chain Provision customer ‘F’ found they needed to move toward direct sourcing from the Far East. Within a very short period they had increased their direct sourced product from 0% - 30%.

Problem:
Whilst increasing their profile and visibility with shippers, customer ‘F’ had not anticipated the problems they would encounter of managing the Supply Chain in this way. They experienced major problems with management control across key areas from manufacture, to Inventory, handling, shipping, transport and distribution. The reason? - No IT Infrastructure.

Solution:
Uniserve were able to develop and implement a whole new software package called Intellichains. A joint venture partnership between Uniserve and AEB, one of Europe’s leading IT software development companies in Supply Chain Logistics The software was a seamless integration into customer ‘Fs’ existing IT network but used all of the intelligence and experience of these two major Supply Chain organisations. Uniserve’s industry leading IT consultant, was able to co-ordinate the project on customer ‘Fs’ behalf, delivering the major benefits of a world leading Supply Chain Management software without the associated headaches.

Result:
  • Real-time visibility across the Supply Chain.
  • Increase speed of Supply Chain communication.
  • Shorten Supply Chain events response time.
  • Minimize out-of-stock situations.
  • Reduce inventory.
  • Reduce lead times.
  • Increase stock turnover.
  • Reduce end-to-end Supply Chain costs.

  • The software solution customer ‘F’ now uses, stands independently to any organization and thus gives them total control of their supplier base and Supply Chain Management.
