Examples of the kind of value-added services that can be provided are detailed below:


Barcoding
Fully EAN compatible, Uniserve barcoding facilitates direct scanning of vendor original consignments without re-keying. A unique Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC) provides enhanced transparency, by effectively bridging the gap between physical goods and track and trace systems. ‘E-sealing’ of containers allows containers to be automatically ‘married’ to the goods within.

Cross Docking
Enhanced levels of product visibility compliment the ability to cross-dock at UK warehouses, improving supply chain efficiency and reducing cost.

Deferred Picking
Advanced picking and storage of the completed consignment for release upon the customer’s request.

Floor Ready Merchandising
Removal of vendor outers, carton topping and preparation of goods at origin to allow for ease of processing.

Kimball Tagging
Available at origin CFS to customer’s specification.

Kitting
Unit picking and collation into single units prior to packing and dispatch. Uniserve are able to make up sales, special promotional packs, or insert literature as required by the customer.

Labeling/De-labeling
Labeling or de-labeling (e.g. surplus stock or sale returns) to customer specifications, undertaken at either origin or destination.

Large Cube Units
Uniserve are able to fully accommodate large capacity items.

Pick to Store

Promotional or Seasonal Packing
Picking and packing to suit promotional incentives or seasonal trading (e.g. Christmas or Easter).

Re-Boxing

Slip Sheeting
Tangible improvements in container fill capacity over Palletisation and speed of unloading at destination. In some instances it has been possible to treble throughput at receipt.

Snake Loading/Maximization of Container Capacity
Loading at origin in line with customer requirements for unloading at destination by SKU, colour, code etc.

Vendor Managed Inventory
Advanced inventory management. Uniserve are able to fully manage production and supply of goods, in line with maximum and minimum stock holding levels set by customers, allowing each to concentrate on their own core competencies to benefit of the supply chain.
